An apple/back to school themed color sorting activity

Included:

• Sorting mats for each color with 5 images to sort
• Cards with 5 images to sort (perfect for pocket charts)

Includes the following colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, brown, gray, black, white

Sorting Mat Directions:

Provide children with the full page apple and 5 corresponding images in the colors you would like them to sort. Child sorts the images by placing them directly on the apple mat.

Pocket Chart Directions:

Provide children with the large square images in the colors you would like them to sort. You could have them sort by lining up on the floor, but we love using this with a large pocket chart. Child puts all the color word apples at the top and sorts the remaining images by placing underneath.

Note: Depending on the child's skill level, consider only giving them a few colors to sort. This is a great way to help your child gain confidence and knowledge without feeling overwhelmed.
